I dreamed last night of this very sky
and it was dark, growing lighter
or light growing darker.
Every clock in my house showed a different time and
it seemed it was time to go
but it was the middle of the night
and you were there, you’d come back
to a small town
with sweet old buildings and
horses tied up.
People were eating at tables outside and
the apples were amazing
and the people were all young, even you and I.
I had yellow shoes on and
we understood so much and I wanted
to stay under the sky of stars with
the blue growing slowly dark
or gradually lighter.
You loved a sky like that so much.
Thin white line of clouds
just there.
